Approach
As part of Signal | Noise's own research and development work, we wanted to create packaging that would allow the owner to set up the phone, sign up for services and play promotional games just by touching printed hotspots on the surface of the box.
Outcome
We created Mobipak, a patented technology that would work inside the box using a deceptively simple concept. The packaging is printed with a layer of conductive ink, designed to create buttons that react to human touch. Button presses are detected using a chip and sent to software on the handset over a printed USB connection.
